Challenge Grandmaster Bryan Smith on April 7!
The Main Line Chess Club is thrilled to host a Grandmaster Simultaneous Exhibition on Tuesday, April 7! GM Bryan Smith will play a simultaneous exhibition against club members and guests.
This is a rare opportunity to test your skills against a world‑class grandmaster, gain insight into elite-level thinking, or simply enjoy playing a simultaneous exhibition for the first time. Whatever your reason for coming out, it promises to be a great night of chess.
Event Details:
- When: Tuesday, April 7, 2026 – 7:30 PM
- Where: Main Line Chess Club – St George’s Episcopal Church located at 1 W Ardmore Avenue in Ardmore PA. It is at the intersection of Ardmore Ave. and Darby Road. (get directions). Free parking available.
- Entry Fee: $10 per board
- Eligibility: Open to the Public. — no club membership or USCF membership required
- Note: There will be no regular tournament play on this day.

Bryan Smith earned the International Master title in January 2007 and was awarded the Grandmaster title in 2013. His competitive highlights include winning the LIMPEDEA Cup in Romania (2011) and tying for first place at the 35th Annual Marchand Open in Rochester, NY.
